Bailey & Bailey dominated the first race of the season

The MotoSurf Continental Cup America 2019 season opener in Cancún was a real paradise for the JetSurf racing. Blessed with constantly beautiful weather and its magnificent nature set in combination with America´s fastest JetSurf riders, the MotoSurf America race in Mexico brought a spectacular event to watersport lovers.

The event was hosted by JetSurf Mexico – Cancún.

Qualifyings worked the best for the US races. Sarah Carangelo won her timed session by two seconds from Anjie Bailey. In the men class, it was Eric Bailey and Juan Pablo Urquidi dominating the session being the only two riders who squeezed their lap time under 53 seconds.

Heats meant four rounds for each class and another option to score important points to the championship. Spectators enjoyed close battles and overtaking maneuvers board on board. Many riders used mainly the black buoy to benefit from the right tactics.

Coming to the finals, action on the track brought super intense racing. Especially in the Pro men class where many riders held podium pace. Eventually, Eric Bailey found the best rhythm and grabbed the overall victory, Dana Lundquist took second. Third place trophy was awarded to Mike Klein after a review of camera footage. Mexican tiger Juan Pablo Urquidi scored perfect times in qualifications and heats, however, his board gave up on him in both finals and he did not finish the finals.
