Duo Bailey & Bailey crowned as America’s best racers!

The final round of MotoSurf Continental Cup America 2019 headed back to the State of Sunshine. The event took place at JetSurf Academy Orlando, in cooperation with JETSURF USA.

The field consisted of 23 men pro racers, 8 women, and 12 amateur racers that arrived ready to battle in between the buoys and enjoy themselves!

The inaugural MotoSurf America 2019 season considerably grew in size within the first few months from its launch. Racers not only from the US, but also from Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Brazil, UK, and the Czech Republic made their way over to compete for the title of the America’s MotoSurf Champion.

Qualifying sessions brought a few surprises! Undefeated US female racer Anjie Bailey proved her qualities and won her timed session by one second from the European rocket Barbora Janoskova. In the men’s class, it was the MSWC Champion Lukas Zahorsky dominating the session followed by the best Canadian racer Mark Andrews. The fastest US racer Eric Bailey stayed consistent and finished his timed session on 5^th place.

Heats meant four rounds for each class and another chance to score important points to the championship. Spectators enjoyed very close board on board battles and overtaking maneuvers; with riders using the black buoy to benefit from the right tactics.

Amateur class was packed with new racers coming to compete for the title of Amateur MotoSurf champion. In the end, is was John Guliani who stole the show in his first ever race with a straight line of individual victories in the heat rides and a last to first place ride for a convincing win in the final race!

Coming to the men’s finals, action on the track brought super intense racing; especially in the Pro men class where many riders held podium pace. Eventually, Lukas Zahorsky found the best rhythm and grabbed the overall victory, and UK racer Rui Merrll took second. Third place trophy was awarded to the Czech racer Ondrej Musil after a review of camera footage. Canadian speedster Mark Andrews scored perfect times in qualifications and heats, however, the review of camera footage due to a small but costly mistake moved him out of podium position.

The last round of the MotoSurf America 2019 season in Orlando wrapped up the whole season and brought the overall winners of America’s first annual championship! The dream came true and duo Anjie Bailey & Eric Bailey were crowned as America’s first and fastest JetSurf couple for women and men pro divisions!

The title of America’s Amateur champion goes to young speedster Ayrton Eboli from Mexico!
